Natural Strength
We are interested in your fitness first and foremost. When you come to workout with us we will be there to ensure that you are performing exercises properly, and we will be there to motivate you to push through the difficult parts. We will be there to answer any questions you might have or to suggest any appropriate adjustments that need to be made, we will be there to teach, to listen, to correct and to encourage. Point being: WE WILL BE THERE. What you get is constant qualified instruction and presence from a coach who genuinely cares about your success. We do this because we love it plain and simple. You have fun, it’s fun for us, you achieve success and get results, we benefit from your walking example of strength, athleticism and confidence. You must first commit to yourself, we are always here for you but we cannot do it for you. You must be consistent and you will achieve your goals.
If you are not sure if this is for you, contact us, or stop by just to ask questions or even watch a workout. Be careful though, because if you try it, you just might like it!
This system works. Why? It works because it is not contrived.
- All the movements are essential and natural. You think it’s best to workout separate body parts on different days? Try to get through a whole day then of doing just that, outside the gym as well. Or try using only one muscle at a time. Example: lying hamstring curl, ever have to lift up some heavy stuff towards your butt with the back of your heel? Never happens. We use our whole body all-together all the time.
- All movements are useful and they transfer directly into your daily life. Think you can’t squat? How do you get up off the toilet? We teach you how to move properly and make the rest of your life that much easier.
- All movements are safe and effective. Scared to try a heavy deadlift? Try it, if it really is too heavy, it just stays on the floor. Besides, who can debate the usefulness of picking heavy stuff up off the floor? We teach proper form and monitor intensity. More people get injured playing basketball than following a program like this. Do you let your kids play basketball?
- Most movements are simple and do not require fancy equipment. We can get a fantastic workout anywhere, anytime. Our bodies are wonderful creations and we should be able to use them to their full extent.
- The movements that are not “simple” are exercising an additional muscle often overlooked in contemporary gyms, the BRAIN. Strong neuro-muscular connections are often the difference between easy and complicated tasks, especially as we age. More simply stated we are referring to coordination.
- All workouts are constantly varied. As are our challenges in life. A quote from the coach, “You fail at the margins of your experience.”
- All workouts are scalable. We all do the same movements, but some of us can lift heavier, or are more flexible, or have more stamina, etc… The difference is in the intensity, not in the movements themselves. Simple adjustments allow anyone to follow our program.
